Vaccinations
- Routine vaccinations – Every individual is advised to be up-to-date with routine vaccinations, such as: Measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, Chickenpox (varicella), Polio, Influenza (flu). Staying on schedule protects you, others and also the health of our community. Vaccinations are known to boost your immune system by teaching your body how to fight threats.
- COVID-19 Vaccine – If you’ve already received the vaccine, great job! You are contributing to mass wellness by getting vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccines can offer added protection to people who had COVID-19, including protection against being hospitalized from a new infection. COVID-19 vaccines are safe—much safer than getting COVID-19. There are no reasons for any individual to avoid a Covid-19 vaccination and it is our responsibility at Ablelife Services to dismiss any fears anyone has of the vaccination.
- Travel immunization – Ablelife Services recommends some routine vaccinations for all travellers as well as specific vaccinations for travellers to regions with a high risk of specific diseases. Many illnesses can be prevented with vaccinations and a little caution like: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Rabies, Tuberculosis etc. Even if you think your travel destination is safe, keep in mind that disease outbreaks can and do happen. Vaccination offers good protection against many diseases.
- Flu shot – Influenza is a respiratory infection that can cause serious complications, particularly in young children, older adults and people with certain medical conditions. Getting an influenza vaccine — though not 100% effective — is the best way to prevent the misery of the flu and its complications. Because flu viruses evolve so quickly, last year’s vaccine may not protect you from this year’s viruses. New flu vaccines are released every year to keep up with rapidly adapting flu viruses.
