Community Based Services
Our community based workers have specialised skills and experience working at a household and community level. They are able to identify, screen and support vulnerable individuals and families. We are able to build trusting relationships with people living with disabilities and their families. This helps reduce their anxiety and allows them to participate in community campaigns and events. In doing so, their dignity and sense of belonging in their families and communities is restored.
At Ablelife Services, we strive to provide emotional and spiritual support to people living with disabilities and their families. We aim at empowering the community, preventing social exclusion, supporting life in the natural community, and protecting people living with disabilities from violating their human rights. We try to manage community based services which provides assessment, coordination and services for people who are living with physical or developmental disabilities and who need supportive services to live independently in the community. The programs can pay for non-medical services such as adult day care, chore assistance, home-delivered meals, companion, homemaker and personal emergency response systems.
Participation in community life is vital for health and wellbeing, promoting a sense of belonging, networks of social support and opportunities for physical activity. At Ablelife Services, we encourage people to engage in activities like planning and executing community projects and enhancing community engagement. As a result, their self-esteem increases, improving their communication and relationships with others.
